Tinisha Hancock, Ph.D.

B.S., Biology, University of Utah

Dr. Tinisha Hancock works to manage grants, contracts and operations at GWC. With her unique blend of experience, she brings a science-based perspective to the finance and operations realms. Tinisha believes in the interconnectedness of all living organisms (big and small) and the importance of conservation. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas, where she studied microbial ecology.

Tinisha loves nature and wants to protect it. She has a deep appreciation for all things chloroplastic especially algae and microorganisms. Prior to coming to GWC she taught biology at St. Edward’s University and the University of Texas. In her free time Tinisha enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, running, swimming, adventuring and learning new things.
