Mary Brown has been involved in conservation in many capacities over the past 13 years through work in program development, project management, research, wildlife rescue, public outreach, and donor relations with numerous animal welfare and conservation organizations. Her conservation career has taken her from Southern Africa, providing care for primates affected by human-wildlife conflict and wildlife trafficking, to West Africa, working alongside local organizations creating protected areas for endangered species, to the rainforests of Peru, studying the effectiveness of forest protection efforts in conserving biodiversity. Mary's work is now primarily focused on cultivating and managing collaborative partnerships for advancing strategies to conserve wildlife and wild places worldwide and building the capacity of local and Indigenous communities to protect the world’s most important habitats.
