Tinisha Hancock works to manage the financial transactions and facilitate daily operations at Global Wildlife Conservation. She learned about finance and accounting while on a winding road towards earning a Ph.D. in biology, where she focused on microbial ecology. Her goal at GWC is to bring a love of science and a unique perspective to the operations role.
Tinisha has a passion for environmental preservation and conservation of wild lands that stems from a love of the outdoors. She has a deep appreciation for all things chloroplastic, especially algae and microorganisms. Prior to coming to GWC she taught biology at St. Edward’s University and the University of Texas. In her free time Tinisha enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, running, swimming, adventuring and learning new things.
