Conservation +

Our scientists and conservationists work with regional and international partners to implement projects targeting threatened species around the globe. These projects are literally the last hope for many species. In some cases, the species of concern have been declining steadily throughout their range and, without any action, face almost certain extinction over the next few years or decades. In a few instances, only a few months stand between survival and extinction.

We are focused on preventing these entirely avoidable extinctions through coordination of researchers and conservationists, partnership with local NGOs and governments, and the rapid mobilization of resources to protect threatened species in the field. This capacity within GWC is possible due to the vision of like-minded individuals who value the global diversity of species and understand the importance of implementing projects that combine science and pragmatism to thwart further extinctions.
